| Notes about Temperature | |||
| The problem with specifying a melting temperature is that each machine is different. Thermistors are the most common temperature sensors in Reprap based printers. Their absolute temperature is not very accurate, but it is consistant in itself - so a filament that works at 180°C will always work at that temperature, even though it may actually be running at 195°C. We have some non-contact infrared thermometers coming which can give a measurement to ±2% | |||
